The AI automation consultant who stays to run it.
Looking for an automation consultant? Here is what you get instead of a roadmap: the audit, the design, the build, and a partner accountable for keeping it running. In OttoKit and SureContact, or in the Zapier, Make, n8n and CRM stack you already have.
A roadmap is not a result.
Most consulting ends with a document. The document is right, and it sits in a drawer, because the hard part was never knowing what to build. It was building it and keeping it running.
The usual consulting engagement
- A discovery phase, then a roadmap in a slide deck
- A list of tools to buy and connect yourself
- A handoff to your team, or to a freelancer you now have to find
- Nobody to call when a step fails three months later
A Heavy Artillery deployment
- An audit of the workflows you run today, written down and yours to keep
- The systems designed around that work, then built by the people who designed them
- Launched on your real accounts, tested before a customer touches them
- Monitored and maintained after launch, by a partner who is accountable for it
- hours a week most growing businesses burn on repeat work
- 30–60
- the Deployment Assessment that starts it
- 30 min
- accountable partner for the whole stack

Our stack, or the one you already run.
We build in OttoKit and SureContact by preference, and we work in Zapier, Make, n8n and GoHighLevel every week. If the platform you already pay for is enough, we will say so.
OttoKit
Our first choice for new builds. Most of the automations we deploy and run are built here, so it is the platform we know best when a step fails.
SureContact
Our preferred CRM: contacts, pipelines, forms and follow-up email in one place, wired straight to the automations.
Zapier
New builds, and the audit and repair of the Zaps you already run: error handling, paths that fail quietly, and tasks you pay for twice.
Make
Scenarios for the workflows that need branching, loops, and data shaped between steps.
n8n
Self-hosted or cloud, for teams that want to own the platform and keep their data on their own infrastructure.
AI models and agents
Language models placed where they do real work: drafting, classifying, summarizing and routing, with a person approving what matters.
Your CRM and custom code
GoHighLevel and the other major CRMs, kept if they work for you. When no platform can do the job, we write it, document it, and run it.
Sometimes the answer is no.
Plenty of automation does not need a consultant, or us. Here is the line we use.
Hire us when
The automation carries real weight in the business.
- The workflows touch revenue: leads, onboarding, billing
- They cross three or more systems that were never meant to connect
- Something already built keeps breaking, and nobody owns it
- Your team has no time to learn a platform and maintain it
- You want one partner accountable for the result, not a deliverable
Do it yourself when
A tool and an afternoon are enough. We will tell you so.
- You have one or two simple workflows
- Someone on the team will own them and fix them
- A failure costs you a few minutes, not a customer
- You only need advice on which tool to buy
- You want a roadmap for someone else to build
The Full Deployment Model, in four phases.
One owner the whole way. A consulting engagement is the first two phases. We do all four.
Step 1: Audit
We map the workflows eating the most time and money, including the automations already running. This is the part a consultant does well, and where most of them stop.
Step 2: Architect
We design how the systems connect: which tool does what, where a person approves, and what happens when a step fails.
Step 3: Deploy
We build and launch it. The people who drew the plan are the people who build it, so nothing is lost in a handoff.
Step 4: Own
We stay on. Monitoring, fixes and changes are our job for as long as the systems run.
Questions, answered
Something else? Ask us directly.
What does an AI automation consultant do?
A good one finds the repeat work in a business, decides what a system should handle, and designs how the systems connect. Most stop there, with a roadmap. Heavy Artillery does that work and then builds, deploys and runs the systems.
Should I hire an automation consultant or set it up myself?
If you have one or two simple workflows and someone on the team who will own them, set it up yourself in Zapier or Make. Hire someone when the workflows touch revenue, when they cross several systems, or when nobody on the team has time to fix them when they break.
Do you work in Zapier, Make and n8n?
Yes. Our preferred stack is OttoKit for automation and SureContact as the CRM, and we also work in Zapier, Make, n8n, GoHighLevel, the other major CRMs, and custom code when a platform cannot do the job. We will tell you when the tool you already pay for is enough.
Can you fix automations someone else built?
Yes. A stack that was built once and never maintained is the most common thing we are asked to look at. We audit it first, so you know what is sound and what is one failed step away from losing a lead.
How much does an automation consultant charge?
We do not sell hours or a roadmap, so there is no hourly rate to quote. We scope a deployment after a 30-minute Deployment Assessment, from the workflows in scope and what they connect to. The findings are yours either way.
Who maintains the automations after the project ends?
We do, and the project does not end at launch. Monitoring, fixes and changes are part of the engagement. If you would rather run the systems yourselves, we document them so your team can.
Start with an assessment. Keep the findings either way.
Thirty minutes on where your team’s time is going and what a system should be handling. If the answer is a tool and an afternoon, we will tell you.
